Owner & Head of School

Ms. Bri

Ms. Bri is the owner and Director of Montessori School of Cayman.
She actually attended Montessori School of Cayman (MSC) herself from 1993-1995. Ms. Bri received her BA (Hons) in Education and Early Childhood Development in Bristol, England. She then went on to The University of Oxford and received her MSc in Education and Child Development. After some teaching experience, she made the decision to follow the path of Montessori and complete her AMI Montessori Diploma (2.5-6) training in London. Ms. Bri moved back to Cayman after the end of her training and assisted in the beginnings of the Montessori programme at Village Montessori when she was hired as their Head Casa Teacher. In the summer of 2016, Ms. Peggy passed the baton to Ms. Bri, and she took over Montessori School of Cayman (even moving in upstairs!). Since then, Bri has made amazing changes to the school and the building itself to allow for more indoor and outdoor classroom spaces. Bri has dedicated her work at the school to develop the Montessori curriculum and programmes offered to ensure a holistic and authentic delivery of Montessori education. In her free time, Bri loves to spend time with her friends and family, spend time at the beach or in the sea, exercise and travel.

Lead Directress in our Casa Environment

Ms. Bianca

Ms. Bianca is the Lead Directress in our Casa Environment.

Originally from Mexico, Ms. Bianca has been part of the Montessori community in Toronto, Canada since 2011. She started as a Classroom Assistant at Taddle Creek Montessori School and immediately fell in love with the Montessori philosophy. She then took her AMI Teacher Diploma in Toronto and now has 4 years of experience as Lead Casa Directress.

Ms. Bianca loves the way in which she has seen children develop in a Montessori classroom: Children trust in themselves and are confident as they follow their curiosity and joyfully learn by using and developing all of their senses.

She believes that by carefully observing the children in her classroom and connecting them to the Montessori materials it is possible to develop a respectful relationship with all of them, guiding them to become the best version of themselves.

Outside of the classroom, Bianca is a dedicated mom who enjoys spending time in nature with her family, traveling, riding her bike, and having picnics with friends. And Bianca is always on the hunt for the best coffee and croissants in town!

Ms. Blessa

Ms. Blessa moved to the Cayman Islands in March 2022. When she was young, she used to play the role of a teacher with her playmates as her students. It was her childhood dream and is why she decided to pursue a degree in Education. Eventually, she also became a Licensed Professional Teacher in the Philippines. After 3 years of teaching at different levels, she realised that she truly wants to be a teacher that supports her students in every aspect, enhances their skills and knowledge, and helps them reach their dreams too; to be the one who believes that they can be whoever they want to be! This led Ms. Blessa to pursue her Masters degree in Educational Management, which she is studying towards now. Ms. Blessa also enjoys making crafts, climbing mountains, and looking for the best coffee shop to read and study!

Ms. Lulu

Ms Lunette “Lulu” is from Namibia, and moved to the Cayman Islands in January 2022. Ms. Lulu holds a Bachelors Degree in Education, a Montessori Early Childhood Development qualification and has over five years of Montessori teaching experience! In her free time, Ms. Lulu enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her friends and family, reading, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Miss Lulu‘s favorite quote is “ education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” - Nelson Mandela

Ms. Emy

Ms. Emy comes from Italy and holds a degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Special Education. Through her studies, Emy has been exposed to a variety of teaching methods, including Montessori (which originated in Italy!).

Ms. Emy fell in love with the Cayman Islands during a visit in 2016 and decided to relocate to call Cayman her home! Willing to share her skills and experience as a teacher, she started working in different Montessori schools on the island till she joined our team at Montessori School of Cayman.

She is always impressed by the children’s curiosity and their creativity. As also explained in Maria Montessori’s book “The Secret of Childhood”, children are driven by creative energy, a vital impulse, a force that drives them to act. Ms. Emy's educational philosophy is to understand and enhance the uniqueness of every child, promoting the development of identity, autonomy, competence, and citizenship. Each student brings with him/her a wealth of talent that simply needs to be discovered and valued.

Miss Emy loves nature and she is passionate about healthy food and all the natural products. She also loves art in all its expressions!
