Miss Fenella

Miss Fenella, or as the children call her, "Miss Nella", is our Lead Directress in our Casa environment. She very recently moved to Cayman from Scotland after a few years of experience with children in a wide range of age groups. Miss Fenella fell in love with the Montessori method in 2017 and went on to complete her AMI Montessori Assistant's Certificate in London that November. After completing her assistant's certificate, Miss Nella's passion continued to grow and she realised that this was the path she wanted to follow. After months of work experience in a nursery in London working with Toddlers, Miss Nella began studying for her full AMI Montessori Diploma (2.5-6yrs) in London. Miss Nella arrived in Cayman for a new adventure and in her free time, loves to spend time with family and friends, play tennis, go swimming and travel.

Owner & Director

Miss Bri

Miss Bri is the owner and Director of Montessori School of Cayman. She actually attended Montessori School of Cayman (MSC) herself from 1993-1995. Miss Bri received her BA (Hons) in Education and Early Childhood Development in Bristol, England. She then went on to The University of Oxford and received her MSc in Education and Child Development. After some teaching experience, she made the decision to follow the path of Montessori and complete her AMI Montessori Diploma (2.5-6) training in London. Miss Bri moved back to Cayman after the end of her training and assisted in the beginnings of the Montessori programme at Village Montessori when she was hired as their Head Casa Teacher. In the summer of 2016, Ms Peggy passed the baton to Miss Bri, and she took over Montessori School of Cayman (even moving in upstairs!). Since then, Bri has made amazing changes to the school and the building itself to allow for more indoor and outdoor classroom spaces. Bri has dedicated her work at the school to develop the Montessori curriculum and programmes offered to ensure a holistic and authentic delivery of Montessori education. In her free time, Bri loves to spend time with her friends and family, spend time at the beach or in the sea, exercise and travel.

She has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (0-12) and her Montessori AMI Assistants Diploma (2.5-6). Miss Courtny takes great care of overseeing our animals (our rabbits, Coco & Charlie and our guinea pig, Nutmeg). In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at the Cayman Islands Humane Society, snorkelling in the ocean, and getting lost in a good book!

Miss Rebecca

Miss Rebecca, or "Miss Becca", is also an Assistant Directress in our Casa environment and came to Montessori School of Cayman in 2016 when Miss Bri took over. Miss Rebecca moved here from Canada after completing her Montessori Assistant's Diploma to pursue a career working with children in Montessori education. Miss Rebecca previously taught in the Toddler environment at another Montessori school and began in our Toddler environment before realising her passion lies with the 3-6 age group! Miss Rebecca is a wonderful teacher and the children absolutely love her. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys pilates, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.

Miss Kati

Miss Kati is our Lead Directress in our Toddler environment.

Born and raised in Germany, after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work & Education in 2014, she set out on the high seas for the Caribbean, where she was employed as a Support Officer for the Education Department of Nevis. Kati supported children from a range of schools including Montessori environments, for 2 years before taking the exciting opportunity to join Montessori School of Cayman on a full-time basis in the Cayman Islands. Children are clearly a passion for Kati, who joined us with 10 years experience working with children. This has included working in numerous Toddler/Casa Montessori based environments, as well as four years spent working with children with behavioural challenges.

In her free time, Miss Kati loves beach walks with her rescue dog Yoda, keeping fit, active, and spending time with friends.

Ms Natalie

Ms Natalie is an Assistant Directress in our Toddler environment. She is from California and moved to Cayman in 2017. Prior to this, she was a K-12 substitute teacher in California and a Primary School Teaching Assistant in England. She also volunteered at the YMCA of the Cayman Islands in the past. After working with children in various capacities, she decided to follow a path where she could support children in some of their most formative years and deepen her understanding of the Montessori method. She is passionate about the Montessori method, and how it encourages children to be independent and develop a love of learning. Miss Natalie currently was accepted onto the MCI Early Years Diploma course, which she began in September, and will gain her full MCI Montessori Diploma later on this year. In her spare time, Miss Natalie enjoys reading; going to the beach; and spending time with her family, friends, and black cat, Oolong.

Miss Isabella

Miss Isabella, or "Miss Bella", is also an Assistant Directress in our Toddler environment. Miss Isabella quickly developed her love for Montessori education through her past work experience and found that her passion lies with the Toddlers! Coming from Village Montessori, Miss Isabella originally started in the Casa environment and quickly realised that her heart was with our younger learners. She recently started with MSC at the beginning of 2020 and is loving the children, staff, and what she feels to be a “homey” environment! Miss Bella recently had her son, but isn’t letting that set her back as she looks forward to starting the AMI Montessori Assistant's Diploma course this year. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her son Caleb, hang out with friends/family, and go on adventures!
